Over the last few weeks Richard and his wife Clare have delivered over 400 lambs. Richard says, ‘we are looking forward to seeing the visitors take a glimpse at the lambs, and we are also really excited to have delivered three pedigree White faced Woodland rams to continue our rare breed stock at the Hardwick Estate’.
Richard Aldis and his wife Clare, who came to Hardwick Park Farm in April 2005, are re-introducing rare breeds of sheep and cattle into the historic parkland. These include Longhorn and Hereford cattle, and White faced Woodland sheep, along with a flock of Swaledale sheep.
